TENDOFORTE® significantly strengthens tendons and ligaments.

An initial experiment observed that fibroblasts, obtained from human ligaments and Achilles tendons, were able to produce significantly more tissue matrix (1.2 to 2.4 times) when directly exposed to the bioactive collagen peptides in TENDOFORTE®. Collagen RNA expression increased significantly, and synthesis of elastin, the most important component of the ligament matrix, increased by about 50 percent. Tissue breakdown was also reduced.

A study by the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) examined the benefits of TENDOFORTE® supplementation over a 6-month period. Participants were 20 subjects with long-term symptoms of chronic Achilles tendinopathy who were not responding to any traditional therapy and were unable to train.
